I noticed that your Wikipedia article has been deleted numerous times due to problems with assertion of notability (ie not the notability itself). I have a belief that it will be accepted if I cite sources and generally write the article better than others have, and as such I am asking a few things here just to get it straight. Hopefully you don't mind. 1. What is the official position on your musicmaking under the name 'Sabrepulse'? Is it an indefinite hiatus or a 'disbanding'? 2. You were only active as Sabrepulse from 2005 onwards, right? 3. What labels have you been on? 4. Is there a photo of you that can be released under the GFDL or a creative commons attribution sharealike license (for the infobox)? I am trying to find one, but I can't find any on flickr. 5. Any inaccuracies here? (I know the main bio is terrible, it was ripped straight out of one of the deleted articles and I am working on it) Thanks in advance, I do sincerely appreciate it. - Chris Down/FatalExceptionID from Ash Eskrett <sabrepulse@googlemail.com> to Chris Down <asenine@gmail.com> date 6 May 2008 09:04 subject Re: Wikipedia article mailed-by googlemail.com hide details 6 May (3 days ago)
First of all, i'm honoured someone's actually taking the time to do something like this - so thanks! In response to your questions: 1. It's an indefinite hiatus. I'm actually writing music but not planning on gigging anytime soon. 2. I started Sabrepulse in 2001, but wasn't confident enough with my sounds to play live until may 2005 (if you want a full list of gigs i've played I can get you that, just ask) 3. Labels: 8Bitpeoples (8bitpeoples.com) Merryworks Japan (label/website now defunct) Give Daddy The Knife USA - (http://www.barnofhell.com/gdtk/) Badboxr UK (a label I run alongside Acrnym, Smile For The Cameraman Honey and Ohhh!!!)- (http://www.badboxr.co.uk/) everything else i've put out has been self released on cdr or through myspace. I have appeared on various compilations, but even I'd have a hard time trying to track them down! 4. As far as i'm concerned you can use any photo from my myspace profile, let me know if there's any problems. 5. Innaccuracies I can see: a) that article was written at the start of 2006, i'm now 22. b) I no longer record/perform as part of Gush Oven c) Smile For The Cameraman Honey is no more, his current project is (www.myspace.com/dolbyanol) d) the first part of that article was written as filler so disregard that bit - I actually started writing/learning to write electronic music through a college friend (http://www.myspace.com/hairobotto - formerly Tajfel Nipple) around the same time as him. If there's anything else you need just ask Ash- from Chris Down <asenine@gmail.com> to Ash Eskrett <sabrepulse@googlemail.com> date 8 May 2008 19:15 subject Re: Wikipedia article mailed-by gmail.com hide details 19:15 (16 hours ago)
Bit of an issue, you have to release under a license appropriate for Wikipedia. Basically, just copy this message back and it should satisfy everyone on Wiki. "I, the copyright holder of this work, hereby release it into the public domain. This applies worldwide. In case this is not legally possible, I grant any entity the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law." If you don't want to release it into the public domain, you can release it under a creative commons or whatever, but I have no idea what sort of proof of release the guys at Wiki would want for that. Cheers, mate, - Chris from Chris Down <asenine@gmail.com> to Ash Eskrett <sabrepulse@googlemail.com> date 8 May 2008 19:17 subject Re: Wikipedia article (whoops.) mailed-by gmail.com hide details 19:17 (16 hours ago)
Say this instead: "I, Ash Eskrett, the copyright holder of http://a83.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/39/l_9cfc666588582144afdc55853140b9ca.jpg, hereby release it into the public domain.
