This template doesn't work perfectly if the person has more than one title and the first one is usurped by somebody else and the second is reclaimed from the same person. Could somebody please fix it? /Ludde23 ^{Talk Contrib} 00:02, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Titles may only be placed in the same cell if they are held for the exact same dates and their predecessors and successors are identical. If there is the slightest difference between the titles and/or styles or in the succession modes of any one predecessor and/or successor, the titles must be split and each be given its own succession line.

Now, if there is no such problem, I do not understand what could be the problem. The succession lines are more or less distinct, and I do not find that there could be any confusion if a title is reclaimed from the same person who usurped another title from the subject. Since the titles are different, and that is visible in the title cell (middle cell), there is no reason for any one to be confused.

Or is it something else? Maybe a clarification would be useful here; I am a little confused by the question, to be honest. It implies that there is some kind of technical problem with the template, yet I am not aware of any such problem. Waltham, The Duke of 14:32, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
