Sölden is a village at the end of the ötztal ("ötz valley"). It is Austrias biggest commune in size. It is even bigger then the capital of Austria - Vienna. Sölden is 466.88km2 in size with a population of 3066. The main village of Sölden is at 1.368m above sea level and the highest peak is the Wildspitze which is 3.768m above sea level and after the Großglockner the second highest mountain in Austria. The newest addtition to the village is the leading edge Firehall for the volunteer Firedepartment.
