Séamus Healy

Séamus Healy (born 1950) is an Irish independent politician. He was a Teachta Dála (TD) for Tipperary South from 2000 to 2007.
He is part of the Conmel based Workers' and Unemployed Action Group which has a number of local representatives on South Tipperary South Riding County Council and Clonmel Borough Council. Phil Prendergast A defector from the Workers' and Unemployed Action Group ran (unsuccessfully) in the 2007 general election for Labour.
A former hospital administrator, he was first elected to the 28th Dáil at a by-election on 22 June 2000. He was re-elected at the 2002 general election. He lost his seat at the 2007 general election to Dr. Martin Mansergh.
