Will someone please explain to me what this photograph shows. The image is too small for me to make out any clear discription. It appears that Siwiec is performing self-immolation, but what confuses me is that nobody in the picture seems to be doing anything. Some people aren't even watching. What's going on?
- He's already on fire. You can see the flame over his head and the left side of his body (on the picture: right). You are right: not everybody's watchin at him. Siwiec made it during a festival. It was very noisy (music) so some people didn't notice the accident instantly. But the audience (above) is clearly running away.
