[edit] American Skateboarder, motocross rider etc.

"Ryan Allen Sheckler (born December 30, 1989) is an American skateboarder, Motocross rider, surfer, and snowboarder"hinkalow!!!!chingalow!!!

That line doesn't sound right. He is professionally a skateboarder. Riding MX, surfing and snowboarding would probably be considered hobbies. Shouldn't it be in another section of the article instead of the first sentence?

Mrs Sheckler 19:06, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, reword that. --Liface 20:34, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
I did the best I could. Its still in the first part but I couldn't find another place for the info.. . Mrs Sheckler 20:03, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
I would suggest leaving it as "an American professional skateboarder". The motor cross rider, surfer, and snowboarder info should be further down. TripleH1976 13:39 p.m., 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Wait... isn't he sponsored in motocross making him a professional MXer? --Liface 23:07, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Sponsored doesnt mean pro, it just means someone pays him to ride I guess... I know that sounds like it makes him a pro but I mean tons of AM skaters, mx riders, snowboarders have sponsors. Mrs Sheckler 21:00, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
PS, solved the problem with a Trivia section :) Mrs Sheckler 21:16, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Needs sources though. --Liface 01:57, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
How do I cite sources? I mean I know them: For the burns, I guess the source would be his website (he had a pretty long entry about it but then he took it off...); the Volcom Jeans would be the Volcom website; Etnies signature shoes would be Etnies and the hobbies..? I guess I'll try to find a source. Mrs Sheckler 17:07, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Wait, nervermind. I think I know how to cite sources. You put the < ref > and then the link inside it. Mrs Sheckler 17:13, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

== Early Life ==he was a pimp as a kid Here it says he was born in Long Beach, CA but according to his interview, he's from Diamond Bar, CA....? Mrs Sheckler 16:28, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Religion

I read that he's Religious.

Where did you read that? If we have a reliable source, he can certainly be included in the category/list Mad Jack 01:05, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
http://www.equityedu.com/Roun-to-Sasq/Ryan_Sheckler.php Read it there, don't know where they got that info from, also read that he went to catholic school so..

[edit] New Sheckler Page

I'm doing my own. Sorry, don't mean to compete. --> Ryan Sheckler (skateboarder) -- Plan B Skater 03:12, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

The article namespace doesn't really encourage two articles on the exact same person or subject. I encourage you to edit this article instead, since it is well established. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 16:07, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ryan sheckler's death

i found this article and i want to put it in his wikipedia straight from MTV themselves guys

Recently Life of Ryan star/skateboard phenom ryan sheckler was murdered in Compton, California by members of the Crips gang. At around 5:34 pm on april 9th one day after the last episode of Life of Ryan aired Ryan was skateboarding in Los Angeles with his friend Paul Rodriguez Jr. and Jereme Rogers and they came across a great place to skate ina dangerous neighborhood in Compton, California. At first, Ryan's friends thought it was a bad idea but they decided to go anyway because jereme rogers (22) had a gun with him. Then after they slided their sk8 trux on the rails a couple of members of the crips gang he did not die he is still alive

Andru Renols (31), Tony Drewhiyo (27) and Cleo Homero (21) came up to Paul Rodriguez Jr. (23) and Jereme Rogers. Ryan Sheckler then proceeded to scream and hide behind a car. So Jereme Rogers pulled out his AK47 and proceeded to shoot. Then Terry Kennedy's friends Antwaun Dixon (20) and a woman named Jim Greco (30) decided to help Ryan and friends.

After a whole sea of bullets were shot 2 of the crips members Tony Drewhiyo and Andru renolds were killed. Ryan and friend thought everything was alirght until one surviving member Cleo Homero shot Ryan Sheckler in the back, the face, the hip, the chest, the jaw and his private area.

Then the police arrived and arrested Paul Rodrguez Jr., Jim Greco, Jereme Rogers and Anwatun Dixon. They were put in jail for 6 years. Later that day Ryan Sheckler was announced dead and his funeral will take place on May 3rd. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skeetdude4ever (talkcontribs) 21:26, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

(I have reformatted your quote, as it was distorting the page) He is not dead, according to any reliable source I can find. This page must adhere to WP:BLP, and so any information placed in must be verifiable from such sources. Please do not add this to the article without further references. I heard he was dead too, thats why Viacom canceled his show and replaced it with Tila Tequila reruns. Except the story I heard is a bit different. In late 2004/early 2005 the real Ryan Sheckler was assasinated via Scopolamine poisining as a result of a death pool created by his two dopplegangers that promised to reward his assassin a 55% share in Globe International. The assassin buried the body to avoid getting caught. Of course, the two duplicated of Sheckler did not have the means to provide the assasin with such a large asset, so the assassin tracked them down in Heliopolis with the intent to kill them. The assasin (identity unknown) was never seen again and was rumored to have been killed in a suicide car bombing of a Shiite mosque.
At this point the real Ryan Sheckler was presumed missing. The two dopplegangers assimilated into one and took on his identity and attributes. Thus when Jamie Thomas pronounced Sheckler to be ruining skateboarding, he was referring to his duplicate(s), certainly not the real Sheckler.
The body of Sheckler was unearthed in mid 2006 by two North Korean spys that were looking for the gold tablets buried by The Angel Moroni in upstate New York. They turned the body over to Jake Phelps for an undisclosed amount of cash. Phelps then contacted an inventor who was able to successfull bring the body of the real Ryan Sheckler back to life. Ryan Sheckler than contacted MTV to demand that they stop showing the show "Life of Ryan". At the same time, he filed suit against MTV and the creators and producers of Life of Ryan and demanded a lump sum of cash for them using his likeness. He also pressed the DA of San Clement to press identy theft charges against his doppleganger. The DA responded by pressing identity theft charges against the real Ryan Sheckler. MTV has since shelved the show indefinitley untill legal disputes can be resolved. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.37.225.24 (talk) 21:06, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
