[edit] trivia section

is this really something that fits the scope of an biography? strange plays happens everyday in baseball, but i don't think this is encyclopedia worthy... *Braun was part of a bizarre play on August 3, 2007, during the 6th inning of a game against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Yankee outfielder Melky Cabrera hit a line drive up the middle that struck Braun's right foot, and deflected off it with such force that the ball ricocheted, turned at a right angle, elevated, and sailed over the first base dugout and into the stands. Cabrera was awarded a ground rule double, and the Yankees went on to win the game, 7-1. Braun was not injured on the play.

Responding to the above unsigned comment, while I did not put it in in the first place, and for the moment it looks longish to me relative to the rest of the bio, I don't have any major problem with its inclusion. Perhaps it would be better if it were scaled down a bit in size, though.--Epeefleche 21:59, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
sorry about not signing that :-) Bobvila2 17:21, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] (baseball)?

Why is this article called Ryan Braun (baseball)? If there were a notable Ryan Braun in another field I could understand, but the other Ryan Braun is also a baseball player. (baseball) doesn't differentiate between the two like, say, (pitcher) would, and simply serves to confuse. Billmeltsner 06:30, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Per User:Caknuck/Naming conventions (baseball players), should we move it to 'Ryan Braun (baseball pitcher)'? That would rather lead us to put the Ryan Braun who's currently on the Brewers as 'Ryan Braun (baseball infielder)' - and hope he doesn't suddenly start playing right field ... So moved. I think I've fixed any double redirects; some singles are still out there until I have some time. --AndrewHowse 18:28, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
