Ryane Clowe (born September 30, 1982, Fermeuse[1], Newfoundland) is a Canadian ice hockey winger for the NHL's San Jose Sharks. He was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 6th round, 175th overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Clowe is on the second year of a three-year-deal signed in June 2006 worth US$1.625 million, ending in June 2008. The contract is a two-way deal for all but the final year of the contract.

Ryane about half way though the 2006–07 season was given an opportunity to play on the first line and powerplay with Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton and has capitalized on the opportunity by scoring consistently. He plays a hard checking game and is willing to drop the gloves when the need arises.

Clowe scored his first career NHL hat-trick on January 6, 2007, in a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

He scored his first playoff goal on April 13, 2007 in the quarterfinals series against the Nashville Predators[2]

He played 11 games for the San Jose Sharks in the 2007–08 season, and then went on injured reserve on October 28, 2007 with torn knee ligaments. In those 11 games, he recorded 3 goals and 3 assists. When he went on injured reserve, Sharks general manager, Doug Wilson had to recall RW Devin Setoguchi from the Worcester Sharks. On March 30, 2008 Clowe returned to the lineup, in time for the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
