Can anyone site a valid source for the following?

"Ez8 standing for "Extra zero-8". The designation "Ez8" appears to be a reference to the M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" variant of the M4 Sherman medium tank of World War II"

It is largely assumed that "Extra Zero 8" was a reference to the Shiro's MS Team designation. Meaning it was built for a member of the 08th MS Team, a team who's name contains an extra 0.

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use.
