Lt-Colonel Alistair Gibb, commanding the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry, in his Sherman command tank in Syria, 1943. The diamond on the turret indicates HQ squadron. Trowbridge is a town in Wiltshire where the regiment was raised; tanks in the regiment bore the names of Wiltshire towns, villages and pubs to aid identification and boost morale.
