I am a (as of December 25, 2007) a 31-year old resident of Chester, Pennsylvania, a satellite city of Philadelphia located in Delaware County. I have the privledge of being both an Eagle Scout (Class of 1994) in the Boy Scouts of America as well as being a Vigil Honor member in the Order of the Arrow (Class of 2000). I am still currently registered with the Chester County Council in West Chester, Pennsylvania as a "Scouter At-Large," but have started, with the approval of my church, St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America congregation, to start a Sea Scout Ship that would be registered to the Cradle of Liberty Council.
In addition to my participation in the B.S.A., I assist at my church as both head of the parish's Altar Guild, as well as serving as a Lay Assistant, primarily for one of the two or three Holy Communion services. In addition to my activities at Church, I am also a member of an astronomy club located near Pottstown, Pennsylvania, whose members are dedicated to both observing (although some do own telescopes equipped for astrophotography) as well as pushing for more dark-sky enclaves similar to Cherry Springs State Park in Pennsylvania's Northern Tier. In addition to being interested in astronomy, in which I own a 12-inch Dobsonian telescope and a 90mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope, I am also a keen supporter of the U.S. space program and, since 2006, have been a regular contributor with Project Constellation and its related articles.
I am a registered member of the Democratic Party since 2006 (have been a registered Republican prior to the 2006 mid-term elections) and am a strong supporter of the death penalty – especially for uncalled for crimes committed against women, children, and first responders. I will support a return of the death penalty in the State of New Jersey (where it was abolished in December, 2007), and at the same time, support any reforms in which convicted death row inmates would only get five years to clear their name, with the final appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court being the final decision.
