Is the correct title for this page SS Belgica? Belgica should redirect to Gallia Belgica, not to a ship. I am making Belgica (disambiguation) to serve all seekers. --Wetman 03:09, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

No i don't think so. Belgian ships do not use the standard prefixes. Therefore according to the naming conventions for ships, this page should best be titled "Belgica (ship)" or "Belgian Oceanografic Research Vessel Belgica". i personally prefer the former. --Plastictv 09:25, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Dates

The ship departs Belgium August 1897, gets stuck in the ice in February 1897 (i.e. 6 months earlier!), and gets back in Belgium in November 2008 (21 months later), which would mean that the trip from Antarctica back to Belgium took them 8 months (they were stuck for 13 months). Can someone correct these dates, as they are currently impossible... Fram 10:47, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

I've corrected them accroding to what is stated in the article Adrien de Gerlachen as those seem more consistent. If they are incorrect, please correct them in both artciels, and reference it. Fram 11:18, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
