Most South Afrcan hstorians do not consider Ruth to be a white anti-aparteeid activist.She was a Jewish personality and so considered non-white.
- What nonsense. Although the National Party had anti-semitic overtones, especially in its earlier days, Jews were never classified as non-white under apartheid. Booshank 22:40, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jews in South Africa
Jews in South Africa were always considered white. Many jews profited off apartheid and the cheap labour it provided i.e. Harry Oppenheimer and his mines so it is suprising that so many would turn on the goverment that allowed them to become so wealty. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.106.77.128 (talk) 15:17, 7 March 2007 (UTC).
