[edit] Claim on fair use for use in Babe Ruth article
This image dates from 1912. Since taken before January 1, 1923, it may qualify for public domain if other conditions are met. This image was taken from the book Cooperstown: Where the Legends Live Forever published in 1993 by Crescent Books, inc. Photo credit is given to the Sporting News Archives.
A claim of fair use is made for this picture so it may used in the Babe Ruth article on the section that describes Ruth's early years. Probably the most famous early picture of Ruth in baseball, many baseball books have featured this photo, and its use in this article is to compliment the text about Ruth first getting involved in baseball.
The photo used in the article is smaller than its source, with much less resolution. This picture is to be used for informational and non-commercial purposes only.
