Rushville is the home of an annual summer celebration known as "Fun Days," which is characterized by parades, picnics, beverage consumption contests, alumni reunions and other activities to honor the town's founders, Milo and Arlene Funtasia. Fun Days festivities culminate each year in the traditional "Running of the Ranchers." Farm families from surrounding Sheridan County race to the Sheridan Livestock Auction on foot, circle the building three times, and then travel 15 miles southwest on dirt roads via Shetland Pony for a scavenger hunt to locate that year's buried treasure.

Rushville is also known as "The Gateway to White Clay", portal city to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.
