Rushmere is a small village adjacent to the town of Ipswich, Suffolk. The village lies within the parish of Rushmere St. Andrew. In Rushmere, there are 2 duck ponds, a CofE church, a Baptist church, 2 rugby clubs, 2 phone boxes, a village hall and 2 postboxes. There are lots of fields with horses, and also lots of routes into the well known Fynn Valley. Most of Rushmere is on one road, Rushmere Road, although it is split into two roads by the Colchester Road roundabout, the other side of Rushmere Road, that leads to the town centre, is officially part of Ipswich. Rushmere has 1 pub, The Garland. It also has many farms and abandoned land, which was said to be quite spooky. It contains the very famous 'Humber Doucy Lane' which leads to neighbouring Tuddenham and Westerfield.
