Rupelian

The Rupelian (also known as Stampian, Tongrian, Latdorfian, Vicksburgian, or Early Oligocene) is the first of two stages of the Oligocene Epoch. It spans the time between 33.9 ± 0.1 Ma and 28.4 ± 0.1 Ma (million years ago). The stage is named after the Rupel river in Belgium.
