Ruislip-Northwood was an urban district in Middlesex, England from 1904 to 1965.[1]
The urban district was created in 1904, covering the parish of Ruislip, which had previously been part of Uxbridge Rural District. The parish and district also covered the Northwood area. The district experienced a sharp rise in population, from 6,217 in 1911 to 72,791 in 1961, caused by the Metroland railway expansion and suburban house building.
It was abolished in 1965, and its area went to form part of the London Borough of Hillingdon in Greater London. The name survives in the Ruislip-Northwood parliamentary constituency.
