User talk:Rubberducky011
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hey everyone! I'm really bored but I'm doing a school project about the Net and the 'Encyclopedia's Online.' That's the topic. I picked Wikipedia because that's the encyclopedia I use all the time.
We are required to experiment and play around here, and a lot of my other friends have also picked Wikipedia, some have picked World Book Online, etc...
Wikipedia is an interesting encyclopedia to research because you can edit and change things, which is something you can't do anywhere else.
I hope that you can supply relevanthttp://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Rubberducky011&action=edit information for my project.
Thanks a lot!
I need to know:
- How Wikipedia Started - Who thought of the idea of an encyclopedia everyone could edit - Whether you think Wikipedia is a good idea or not
I hope I can find these answers.
I have until September 25 to work on this. I will be handing it in when I proceed to 9th grade.
Please help me complete my project.
Thanks again.
- Your best bet is to start at the Wikipedia article. This should give you just about all the information you need. Note that the Wikipedia is not a valid primary source, only a secondary source, though perhaps the Wikipedia article itself may be a reasonable primary source. Good luck, and feel free to ask if you have any more questions. --Yamla 14:20, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cinchona
You've added a number of medical uses for Cinchona without giving at least one verifiable reference. Every fact in Wikipedia MUST be referenced, otherwise it can be considered as original research and will be deleted. And as to your project, just check History of Wikipedia. [edit] Graffiti
Thank you for experimenting with the page Hilary Duff on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. --Yamla 14:17, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
