"Rubber Ball" was a 1961 hit for Bobby Vee. It was produced by Thomas "Snuff" Garrett, a 19 year old Texan, and co-written at the Brill Building in New York by Gene Pitney.
The song was Vee's second single release in the US where it made the top ten on the Billboard charts and was a breakthrough hit for the artist in the UK, where it reached number 4 on the UK charts.
