Rubén Hugo Marín (b. 1 May 1934, Trenel) is an Argentine Justicialist Party politician. He sits in the Argentine Senate representing La Pampa Province in the majority block of the Front for Victory and was governor of the province on two occasions.
Marín was educated in Trenel and qualified as a lawyer in 1961 at the National University of La Plata
Having been vice-governor from 1973 to 1976, Marín was elected governor in 1983 upon the restoration of democracy, serving until 1987. He was then elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and two years later to the Senate. In 1991, he was elected governor for a second term. He was re-elected in 1995 and 1999. In 2003 he was elected to the Senate.
In 2007, Marín attempted to stand for a fifth term as governor.[1]
