Ruža fans

An official fanclub of MFK Ružomberok, that came into existence in July of 2005, founded by 5 enthusiasts during friendly match MFK Ružomberok vs ŽP ŠPORT Podbrezová.

[edit] Beginning of Ruža fans
On official pages of MFK Ružomberok there was a big discussion regarding the support for players, ´cause except few people from old fanclub there was nobody to support them. Therefore an agreement has been made about meeting during above mentioned friendly match, where more detailed facts were discussed. Their first support was done by 10-15 fans. First transparent of Ruža fans was more than 10m long, hand made, yellow transparent with red-colored words "Chlapci sme s Vami!" (in liberal translation: "We are with you!"). By a coincidence, Ruža fans came into existence right before the season 2005/2006, that brought a championship title for MFK Ružomberok. Increasing number of fans, together with good results of MFK Ružomberok in Corgoň Liga caused huge amount of fans in guest fansectors at many stadiums. At the end of season there were more than 800 fans present in Žilina or 700 fans in Dubnica nad Váhom.

The highest number of fans in MFK Ružomberok´s history was present at Slovakian cup final 2006: FC Spartak Trnava vs MFK Ružomberok. More than 2000 fans from Ružomberok came to Bratislava, where this match took place, to see the final. 2 special trains were launched from Ružomberok, together with many cars, following the trains side by side. At the end of this season Ruža fans could celebrate also the championship title, 1 match before the end of season. It was in Banská Bystrica, and again, more than 10 buses and many cars with fans travelled there. Stadium flooded by an orange invasion saw a 5:0 win of MFK Ružomberok and championship title celebrations could have started. After the last match of the season MFK Ružomberok vs AS Trenčín, celebrations on the square in the city centre took place.

Their place has been always in the sector "C" of the old (west) tribune. At present, after an agreement with MFK Ružomberok management, since the beginning of season 2007/2008, Ruža fans have moved to the "D" sector, that has been reserved only for them. Ruža fans continue to support their favourite team not only at home, but also during away matches, each time, when it's possible. At present, their main transparents are Ruža fans and Rosenberg fanatics Belan Division. Nowadays, they are also preparing new transparent, similar to Ruža fans transparent. Its look is being discussed.
