Ravi was born to Parents Sridatt Lakhan and Parbatti "Jean" Lakhan (neƩ Raghunandan) on November 20th 1988 in the Humber Memorial Hospital at 7:45 pm. At the time of his birth, Ravi experienced a brachial plexus injury as well as a bone-shift in his right elbow, that would result in decreased movement and feeling in his right arm for much of his youth. Originally living in 2737 Kipling in the heart of Rexdale, he would move to Elmhurst Drive, where would spend the duration of his child years. During this time, Lakhan underwent intense therapy and three surgeries ultimately restoring 80% of the strength in his right hand, as well as 90% of it's functions. The reminensce of his injury include the cosmetic dislocation as well as permanent lacerations on his forearm and neck.
As a child, Ravi or Sean, as he was known to his parents, friends and family; experienced the childhood of the typical Middle Class youth. He enjoyed street hockey, soccer, fighting and video games. At the age of 3, Sean enrolled at Rivercrest Public School where he excelled in all subjects, particularly; reading, math and writing. Sean would read his 1st book to his class "Peanut Butter and Jelly" at the age of 5, demonstrating his giftedness, which was duly noted by his teachers. At the age of 8, Sean's parents would end up filing for a divorce; sending him with his mother to Mississauga, where he would begin the maturing stages of his life.
Upon his arrival in Mississauga, Lakhan and his mother moved to Mississauga Valley, a middle class suburb 5 minutes from the cities center. Here Lakhan briefly attended Thornwood Public School as well as the Valleys Senior Public School. It was at this point that the urbanized, intellectual undertones in his upbringing, were said to manifest themselves. At this time, Lakhan being between the ages of 9 and 13, living with a single mother, and aware of the world around him, began harnessing the skills that he was taught as a youth in order to capitalize on his surroundings. Noted for being an amazing orator it was at this point that Lakhan began developing and perfecting his speech, attitude and perspectives towards people and society in general. Equipped with a bright mind, a good circle of friends and ambitions of becoming a lawyer, self development became the main adolescent focus for Sean.
In 2001, Lakhan would move again, but this time only a few blocks south, to the St. Tropez Complexes in South Central mississauga
