This template, created by Robert Skyhawk (Talk), is a welcome template which is used primarily by Robert Skyhawk, but can, of course, be used by anyone to welcome newcomers to Wikipedia (see the Welcoming Committe).

[edit] Parameters

Pamameter 1: The name of the user posting the message. For example: "RSkyhawk"

Parameter 2: Just 4 tildes (~~~~).

A complete version of this template would look like: {{User:RSkyhawk/SkyhawkWelcome|RSkyhawk|~~~~}} and would produce:

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! While you're finding your way around, you may want to look at the help contents to help you get oriented.

Here are some things to remember:

• Always sign posts you leave on talk pages by typing for tildes (~~~~).
• You can edit most any page in Wikipedia if you see something you wish to change; simply click on the "Edit this page" button on the top of a page. For more info, see WP:EDIT.
• When you edit, Be Bold! If there is something you think should be changed, change it! However, when making a major change, make sure people agree with what you're doing by asking on the article's talk page.
