Everything I've looked at listing the RS-449 interface seems to have a common error: the pinout listing shows a differential signal "Data Mode" (DM) on pins 11 and 29, but the signal description does not include DM and describes a signal CF instead (which is not on the pinout listing). Can anyone tell me why?

Also, there is a frequent confusion between RS-449 and RS-499 as if one is a typing mistake of the other. Can anyone resolve this?
