[edit] Welcome!

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you'll check out what's going on on Wikipedia and start contributing. I noticed that you'd created a couple of personal favorite lists--these are better in your own user "space", so I've moved them there. You probably weren't aware that you can create user "subpages" by using a slash after the name of your user page; for example [[User:Rp0210/My Favorite Shows]] points to a separate page in your user space you can use for making a personal list like that; while the "main" article space is reserved for encyclopedia articles. Welcome, again, and happy Wikiing! Demi T/C 18:25, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My Favorite Websites

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.  (aeropagitica)   (talk)  16:40, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grandparents

Hi there: I am sure that you are fond of and proud of your grandparents, but they have no place in an encyclopedia.--Anthony.bradbury 23:59, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My Pictures

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. I've moved your My Pictures page to User:Rp0210/My Pictures, which is your own space for putting personal things. User:Zoe|(talk) 00:06, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

I've removed your My Pictures article yet again. I told you above where you can find the page. User:Zoe|(talk) 01:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

I have nominated your My Pictures article for deletion. If you wish to show off your pictures to other Wikipedians, please post them here on your user page rather than creating a new article Dukeseee 15:17, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Yes, please. This isn't Myspace. Please read the rules. Thanks. 71.102.76.166 15:32, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not a free web host. There was no content in your My Pictures article, so I deleted it, and I have now protected it against re-creation. Are you going to use that picture of your grandparents as part of your user page? If not, it should be deleted; Wikipedia is not here for this kind of thing. Regardless, though, that kind of thing doesn't belong in the main encyclopedia, but in the User namespace. Mangojuicetalk 20:36, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:News_logo-1-.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:News_logo-1-.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Regarding edits made to Allie DiMeco

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Allie DiMeco. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Signed by Tommy Image:Misc-tpvgames.gif (Talk/Contribs) 03:14, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:MMS Logo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:MMS Logo.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:08, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Shiloh Logo.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Shiloh Logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:NWMS Logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:NWMS Logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:56, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Farwell Logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Farwell Logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:37, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
