[edit] 3rd Battalion

I'm not sure whether 3 WELSH officially carry the suffixed title (Royal Welsh Regiment). Can anyone concur? If this is meant to portray simply that the battalion was formerly the Royal Welsh Regiment we could perhaps show this in a more specific manner (see Yorkshire Regiment). 194.203.110.127 11:02, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

I found the answer on the official army page and reformatted accordingly. 194.203.110.127 10:36, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Royal Welsh or Royal Welch?

It always puzzled me that the new regiment hadn't adopted the Welch spelling, given that The Welch (41st/69th Foot) were one of the antecedent regiments of the RRW: then I saw this tragic report of the loss of Cpl Wilson, 4 RIFLES, and couldn't help noticing the spelling Royal Welch (and it's talking about the 2nd Bn).
