[edit] Temporary Lock
Roy recently passed away, and now the page is seeing vandalism. Do we need to have the page temporarily locked from editing? 07:15, 11 February 2008 (UTC)~

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Seaquest3.jpg
Image:Seaquest3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:23, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Source for date of death?
Please provide a source for his date of death. I have seen no news of this. Thanks.--Evb-wiki (talk) 02:09, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, there you have it. Right in the NYT. RIP & all that jazz. --Evb-wiki (talk) 02:12, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

- Sorry to those of you who were trying to update this article at the same time I was. Looks like we finally got it right. The cause of death was confirmed by the New York Times. Unfortunately, there are always a few people who will try to sabatoge an article like this by adding that the cause of death was a "shark attack." Article looks good now.
[edit] Offered a role in Rambo?
An Australian newspaper reports today that the claim that Scheider was offered the role of Rambo is a deliberate falsehood added to the article by a subeditor. The text of the article is here under the heading "Rambo Rubbish".
The claim is already tagged as unsourced. Given the suggestion it is deliberately wrong, I've removed it from the article until a source is provided. As always, other opinions and comments welcome. Euryalus (talk) 02:54, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] 2nd daughter
I have removed the following claim (again): "In 1978,he had a 2nd daughter, Tiffany Smith by Deborah Smith." I've not seen this mentioned anywhere else, so there is no evidence this is true. If someone knows of/finds a source, please privide a cite. Thanks. --Evb-wiki (talk) 23:59, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
