Roy Jacuzzi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Roy Jacuzzi was a third generation Italian immigrant to the United States of America. In 1968 he invented and marketed the first self-contained, fully integrated Jacuzzi whirlpool bath[1]. The water pumps that inspired the whirlpool bath were a family invention, meant to help sooth arthritis symptoms. Roy currently holds more than 250 patents for innovations in fields ranging from pump systems to jet technology [2].
