Gregg Rounds is a Writer, Screenwriter, Musician, and Artist. He works out of Austin, Texas (his hometown), and runs Errant Knights' Productions, LLC.
Over the course of the last 4 years, after receiving his MA degree in Screenwriting, Rounds has successfully crafted screenplays/stories for right projects, including: Original Feature Screenplays; as a Creative/Story Consultant, Story Analyst, and a Contributing Write experience writing for successful cable TV series ; Hired for a Fiction Adaptation; Hired for Script Rewrites and Editing for Features. He has worked with HBO, Viacom, CSE (Austin company), William Morris, Shapiro-Lichtman, Detour Films, and many others, including a host of Independent Production Companies.
He s currently writing and working on the development of three projects, he also teaches Screenwriting at the University of Texas. Over the past few years he’s optioned an original TV Pilot; worked as a writer with Over this most recent year, he’s returned more to Feature Narrative writing.
Currently, Rounds’ projects include an adaptation chronicling the real life events of Professional Sports most unlikely Hero: Michael Lewis, and his part in turning the New Orleans Saints – the NFL’s all time worst team – into a legendary force that literally lifted the shattered dreams and broken hearts of the People of New Orleans caused by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Also, Rounds is finishing up his magnum opus of sorts, “We Get Closer,” is a post-apocalyptic love story set in a battered vision of an archaic future: in the year 2043. To survive they must escape to a better land, but nobody knows what remains out in “The Unknown.”
Some of Rounds’ recent “Independent” screenplays have been developed for, and collaborated on, with young, but highly decorated “New Filmmakers,” including: Mexican Director – Alejandro Gomez Monteverde ("Bella") and the highly respected Director/Cinematographer/Writer: PJ Raval (”Room,” “Gretchen”).
