Roulé

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Roulé (translating to "rolled") is a French record label that was founded in 1995 by Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk fame. The use of the name Roulé stems from the Daft Punk track "Rollin' & Scratchin'". There exists a sister label called Scratché, which has had only one release to date by the Buffalo Bunch (Raw Man and Play Paul) who now release on the Crydamoure and We Rock Music labels.

Roulé's fifth release Stardust's "Music Sounds Better with You" single reached number one in the dance charts in most European countries. Stardust members were Benjamin Diamond on vocals, Alan Braxe for music and Thomas Bangalter with production. It contains a sample of the Chaka Khan song "Fate".
