User:Rothorpe/World Alphabetical Time

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There being 24 letters which do not resemble 1 and 0, TV channels could adopt a standard world time which everyone could learn as synonymous with local time. It would end the need for displaying tedious lists of cities with different times.

So, it's now BST (& Portuguese Summer Time) 17:29. If midnight here is A:00, then it would now be T:29 (WAT). Rothorpe 16:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

But since Universal Time (UTC, GMT) is used as a sort of default when comparing with other time zones, WAT could be linked to it, so that A:00 would be 0000 UTC. Thus the current time, 18:12 Portuguese/British Summer Time, 17:12 UTC/GMT, is U:12 WAT. Rothorpe 17:12, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
