Roter Kamm is a meteorite crater, located within the Namibian section of the Namib Desert. It is 2.5 km in diameter and is 130 meters (400 feet) deep. The age is estimated to be 3.7 ± 0.3 million years placing it in the Pliocene. The crater is exposed at the surface, but its original floor is covered by sand deposits at least 100 meters (300 feet) thick.
