[edit] Bulge?
Should the animation be changed so that it shows the equator bulging outward a bit? Kamope | userpage | talk | contributions 22:53, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- How much is "a bit"? Cuddlyable3 20:05, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
The bulge is an illusion cause by the high contrast of the land to space and low contrast of the dark water to space. --STUFF2o 17:14, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] GIF and PNG
Can the file "Rotating earth (small).gif" be converted to PNG? --88.76.236.48 12:51, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- pngs cannot be animated.
Can we do this without the cheesy background stars? This isn't a simulation of what earth looks like from space (no clouds, no illumination / reflection), so they clearly have no place in the image. dab (𒁳) 13:43, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Why can the file "Rotating earth (small).gif" not be converted to PNG? --88.76.227.240 08:08, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- Apparently there's no way to have more than one frame. Sagittarian Milky Way 22:29, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
