I'm not sure Ross is really famous for it's bookshops other than W H Smith I can only think of one new book shop and one other second hand shop - perhaps someone's confusing it with Hay-on-Wye?

The new Ross-on-Wye picture from geograph.co.ok, says it is a picture of Tamworth. So, what gives? Is this really a picture of Ross on Wye? Nyh 08:07, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Ross Vegas

Ross-on-Wye is renowned for its many pubs and charity shops, but few people know that it is also a Mecca for gamblers. With Ladbrokes, William Hill and The Mathew Jones Super Casino all within walking distance of the town centre, Ross-on-Wye is often referred to by locals as 'Ross Vegas'. Ross-on-Wye has many other pseudonyms, locals also refer to Ross and Ross-Angeles, this normally occurs when gangland violence erupts between tuds (tudorvillians) and the Brampton Crew(bramptonites). In the summer when the weather is nice locals like to refer to the riverside park area as the Rossta Del Sol. Young people who live in the town and smoke cannabis can be referred to as 'Rosstafarians'

chavtasticcccc!!

Ross-on-Wye is full of rubbish people with the age range of 11-20 hanging around the market place, (prounounced "marrrrrrrkeehh playysssse") where the young generation sit around smoking cannabis and pretending to be quite the "hard" man/woman, and shouting abuse to others who have a better lifestyle and generally better than them. I advice you not to go if you are in a social class above Z

Gangland violence? In tudorville? Never >.>
