Did You Know
- ...that over 5,000 Rosenwald Schools, shops, and teachers' homes in the southern portion of the United States were built primarily for the education of African Americans by Julius Rosenwald, who was part-owner of Sears, Roebuck and Company?
Realized that not all schools were in southern states and matching funds were required for grants, so blurb is corrected as follows for accuracy:
- ...that over 5,000 Rosenwald Schools, shops, and teachers' homes in the United States were built primarily for the education of African Americans with funds donated by Julius Rosenwald, who was part-owner of Sears, Roebuck and Company?
