Rosil de Costa

Rosil de Costa (Malacca, ? - 1986) was a Malaysian singer.
She was the last great singer, poetess and improviser of the Malay genre of music called Mata-kantiga (literally, “kill the song”), of Portuguese origin, where a man and a woman improvise verses, similar to the styles found in Brazil and Portugal. She was also the singer of another genre of Malay music of Portuguese origin named Branyo.
