Rosanna Cox Fitzgerald

Rosanna Cox (c.1836 - 12 March 1879) was the mother of John "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald, grandmother to Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, and great-grandmother of John F., Robert F. and Edward Kennedy.

Rosanna Cox was born in County Cavan, Ireland to Philip and Mary Cox. After emigrating to the Unied States, she married Thomas Fitzgerald on November 15, 1857, in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the mother of 12 children and died at age 43 in Boston on March 12, 1879.
