Image:Ross Lockridge Jr 1947.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a publicity photograph of novelist Ross Lockridge, Jr., author of Raintree County, taken by Arthur Griffin in March, 1947, at the Houghton Mifflin Company in Boston, MA. The original may be found at [1] The book that Lockridge is holding is a copy of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Nothing to Fear.

The rationale for using this image is that after a diligent search of the web for a free-use image of Ross Lockridge, Jr., I was not able to locate one. The other images on the Raintree County web site appear to be owned by the Lockridge family and not released into the public domain. -- Cuppysfriend (talk) 17:35, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
