[edit] Speedy deletion of Ajmer Singh

A tag has been placed on Ajmer Singh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ~ LegoKontribsTalkM 02:41, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] S. Padmanabhan

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of S. Padmanabhan, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/LAND-FORCES/Army/Army-Chiefs/Chiefs-Army22.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:24, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] deleting

Rorkadian, Why are you deleting reference to jat, gujjar in giving there daughter to mughal? Also we should not be using honorfics in wikipedia. Like CHaudhary etc. Please do not revert these. Thanks.

May I know your identity? I am deleting reference to other castes/tribes because there is no comparison in such cases. They did not give their daughters in delightful circumstances. They were forced by the invaders. Thanks

I am Ajab Singh. We have to mention that we are distinguished from these other groups. So jat/gujjar should be mentioned. Censoring history is a bad idea. We are just telling the truth. And rajput is mentioned clearly so should these other groups be.

I would like to thank you for all the effort. Especially pages on Ballu, Ajmer and all others that you have created.

Would you know who all fought in 1857 and what did they do against british?

Regards, Ajab —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.125.180.150 (talk) 08:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Ajab Singh Ji, Chaliye its your wish. I am not deleting it this time but my only point was as you mentioned Rajput is clearly stated and our only comparison is with them. With others there is no comparison because we are at a different level. Thanks

Thanks a lot. Took out classification "according to british" because it is not relevant. British did not understand india that well and its castes.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.125.180.150 (talk) 08:22, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Sri_Ram.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sri_Ram.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 23:37, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hi Ror saheb

Thank you for your message. I will try my best to answer this for you. Tribal history is a specialty of mine, reading your page is certainly very interesting and I wish you the best of luck in highlighting your tribe's pride heritage.

Tuar issue - I will begin with this one. I must state from the very beginning, that the Tomar Jats (claiming Suryavanshi lineage) are not gathered as kin to the Tuar Rajputs who have exclusively always maintained Chandravanshi lineage through the Panduvansh. This is not surprising, as we also have Khokar Jats in Punjab who claim Awan lineage and Kokhar Rajeh who allege Suryavanshi lineage, as well as some Kokhar Tarkhans who have no idea lol. I think the reason here is phronetics, or similarity or names. See, names of clans are usually branched names of an ancestor, hence if that ancestors name is a 1st name, then its obvious there may be others etc. (similarity os also drawn between Rao Kokhra of the Rathores and also Kokhrain Khatris, two completely distinct tribes, but phronetically similar names. It would be dangerous to play the phronetics game with tribes as it is a novice thing and apt to be criticised often by more knowledgable wikipedians. Best practice? Avoidance. Conclusion - My opinion is that, Tuar Rajputs (of which I believe Vikramaditrya belonged to) was a seperate race to the Tomars claiming Suryavansh lineage, and perhaps, your Tuarka gotra name of the list maybe distinct from the Chandravanshis also, and maybe the same as the Haryana group? I have not found the case of any Chandravanshi clans claiming any other descent at all so far in all my years of research.

Koh i Jud- The Koh i Jud was both. It's always been known as Koh i Jodh by the conquerors. Babur's mention of it was correct in his assertion that there were 2 tribes, Janjua and Jodh's borne of the same father. There is a Jodh Branch of the Janjua which is infact the House of Darapur, Sultan of Makhiala and Sultan of Watli who belong to this branch. These 3 houses are famous Janjua houses and were celebrated by the British as this. The other branch which Babur mentioned as Janjua is the Veer Branch, who to this day reside near Malot fort.

The Jodh branch is pronounced the same as Babur's writing, as Jodh (simpler d as in dil, and o as in awe).

If there is any other help I can provide you, please do not hesitate to contact me bro.

Regards
