Roosevelt Middle School (San Francisco)

Roosevelt Middle School is a public school in San Francisco, California located in the Richmond District at 460 Arguello Blvd. Roosevelt is named after President Theodore Roosevelt. The current school's building opened on November 9, 1930 but the school has been open since the 1890's under a different name. Roosevelt was built on a large city block and its exterior is made of brick and includes a tower which is recognized throughout the neighborhood. The interior of the school is made up of about 30 classrooms including two bungalows, two gyms, a library, and an auditorium.

The school's building was in the movie Zodiac in the beginning when Robert Graysmith is dropping off his kid at school, he drops him off in the schoolyard at Roosevelt Middle School.[citation needed]
