[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Griesacker.gif
Image:Griesacker.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:47, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unilateral Deletion of page
User David in DC has attempted to remove this page without consulting the editors who have labored over it. If he continues this file an ANI to have him blocked. He may also be posting using the name Jpk212. This user(s) has engaged in a lengthy edit war seeking to censor the page of child molester Peter Yarrow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by John celona (talk • contribs) 14:02, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Actually I nominated for speedy delete, because it was full of unsourced negative info about a living person. An admin dealt with my request by cutting a whole lot out of the page and putting citation tags on what was left. We communicated with one another and I agreed to this resolution. JkP and I are different people.David in DC (talk) 14:50, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
I think that assessment of the situation is incorrect. David in DC proposed that the article met the criteria for speedy deletion. The state of the article at the time could arguably fall under speedy deletion, as it consisted of heavily negative coverage of a living person without any reliable sources. On top of that, significant portions of the text were a copyright violation. In respect to this article, David's actions were appropriate. Any accusations of sock-puppetry should be taken to the appropriate forum WP:SSP, although I do not see any evidence to support your accusation.
As to any disagreements you may have about another article, please keep that disagreement where it belongs: somewhere else. If you have any interest in improving this article, I suggest you find reputable, reliable sources to fully describe the notable elements of this person's life.--Marcinjeske (talk) 05:08, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
