Ronald Joseph Radke (born December 15, 1983) was the lead vocalist and songwriter for Las Vegas-based post-hardcore band Escape The Fate. Ronnie also played the keyboard for the band during his time with them. He sang on the EP "There's No Sympathy for the Dead" and the follow up album "Dying Is Your Latest Fashion", both of which were released in 2006. Ronnie gained numerous fans, many of them female, with his time in ETF. He lives a rock star type lifestyle and is often in trouble with the law. This was most recently shown with his sentence[1] after a midnight brawl in which Ronnie was involved.
[edit] Departure from Escape The Fate (2008)
Radke has had a number of run-ins with law enforcement since 2006, many of which narcotics were related. Radke was also sentenced to five year probation in Las Vegas for his involvement in a fight which took place in May 2006. This fight ended with the fatal shooting of 18 year old Michael Cook. While Radke did not pull the the trigger, his friend was armed and did. Radke pleaded guilty after the person who was supposed to plead with him committed suicide. [2] In early 2008 the band ceased all touring due to the incident and has not yet commented on the situation. Currently Craig Mabbit from Blessthefall has replaced Radke as frontman and lead singer of the band.[3] A statement was made on the band's MySpace profile stating that Craig Mabbit is singing for three shows and that they have made no definite selection of a singer.[4] This isn't the first time Ronnie has been kicked out of the band for drug addiction. His last time was in 2006.
On November 6, 2006, the band released a new blog on Myspace stating that Radke was back in the band. Radke also posted a blog on his Myspace explaining his absence and describing his new love for life.
