Ron Carey (Minnesota political leader)

Ron Carey is the current chairman of the Republican Party of Minnesota. Carey is also a financial executive for the software company Intuit. He was elected to succeed Ron Eibensteiner at a meeting of the party's central committee on 11 June 2005[1] and re-elected in June of 2007 on the first ballot. Prior to his election he served as the party’s treasurer. He resides in Shoreview, Minnesota.

Carey is currently under investigation by the U.S. Attorney's offices for allegedly overcharging the State of Minnesota by millions of dollars while he was chairman of the Minnesota Autism Center[2]. Carey has disputed the charges.[1]
