== == Techniques and special abilities == ==
[Bukujutsu (Flight)]
This is the ability to fly using one's ki. Goku simply controls his energy and pushes out from underneath him allowing him to fly.
[Genki-Dama (Spirit Bomb)]
Perhaps Goku's most powerful attack, the Genki Dama draws energy from all life and places it in a deadly ki ball. Goku uses this against many of his more powerful opponents. The downside is that he is quite vulnerable during its lengthy creation time. He can only perform this technique out of Super Saiyan. When he attempted to use it against Android 13, as a Super Saiyan, he absorbed its energy instead of throwing it, though it still fueled him to victory.
[Kamehameha (Turtle Destruction Wave)]
Goku's signature attack and the trademark technique of the series, the Kamehameha is a powerful, constant stream of energy hurled at an opponent usually through the hands. Goku learned to use this technique by mimicking Muten Roshi, who used it to put the flames out on Fry-Pan Mountain during the original Dragon Ball series but Goku's was not as powerful as Muten Roshi's. Goku later developed several and more powerful variations of this attack during the course of Dragon Ball. The name is derived from an ancient Hawaiian king
[Chou Kamehameha (Super Turtle Destruction Wave)]
An upgraded version of the Kamehameha. The hand movements to perform the attack is the same as the Kamehameha, however the charging time takes longer due to more ki energy being put into it. Seeing as how Goku was the inventor of the upgraded version, it is likely Gohan learned it from his father.
[Kienzan (Destructo Disk)]
Originally Kuririn's most powerful attack, the Kienzan is a razor sharp disk of energy that can slice through any opponent. Frieza performs an attack similar to Kuririn's technique but it follows the target opponent
[Shunkan Idô (Instant Transmission)]
An ability Goku learned on his way back to Earth from Namek on a remote planet called Yardrat. It allows him to teleport nearly anywhere instantly so long as he focuses on a specific ki signal at the desired location or can see where he wants to go. He places two fingers on his forehead to focus on a power signal.
[Taiyōken (Solar Flare)]
Also known as the Fist of the Sun. A technique learned from Tenshinhan that uses energy to reflect the full light of the sun at an opponent within close proximity, temporarily blinding them.
[Zanzôken (After-Image)]
Also known as the Nin-ju-Zanzôken or Double Shadow Attack, this is when the user of this technique is able to move extremely fast over very short distances (usually a maximum of a few meters), leaving two rather misleading blurry after-images illusion behind.
[Final Flash]
An energy attack used by Vegeta. He performs it by extending his arms outwards from the sides of his body, then placing the base of his hands together directly forward and releasing a large and powerful gold Ki beam that consumes everything in its path. It requires some time to "power up". It was first used against Cell during the Cell Saga, and once more against Goku during the Buu Saga, when Vegeta was under the Majin enchantment.
[Big Bang Attack]
When using this technique, Vegeta extends one arm and opens his palm, turning his hand up at a 90-degree angle (as if to signal "stop") and gathers his Ki. He then fires a sphere of Ki that is yellow in color and creates an enormous explosion upon contact. He first uses this attack in order to destroy Android 19 during the Cell saga.
[Kaifuku (Healing)]
Fat Buu can completely heal another being if he so chooses, even if they are blind or near death. So long as the recipient is still alive, Buu can bring them back to health. He is unable to revive the deceased, however.[9]
[Koukyuu Gata Kikou Ha]
Buu puts his arms forth and lauches a gigantic ball. Buu had nearly killed Gohan with this technique. Kikou Ha means "Energy Blast Wave", so this is basically Buu's spin on the standard ki blast.
[Chikyuu Hokai no Ichigeki (Destruction of Earth in One Attack)]
A massive ki ball created by Kid Buu by collecting energy in his right palm, enough to destroy a planet ten times the size of Earth in a single shot. Used to not only destroy Earth but many other planets as Buu seeks out the place where Goku and Vegeta were hiding. Called Vanishing Ball in the Budokai series of video games.
[Kiai]
Uub's primary move before being trained by Goku. Uub blows a wave of Ki through his mouth.
[Final Kamehameha]
This is Vegito's brilliant combination of two of Goku's and Vegeta's best attacks. A very powerful blast which Vegito uses when he fights Super Majin Buu.
[Hyper Tornado]
With this attack Pikkon creates a tornado around himself, and then brings it down on his opponent. The tornado then throws the opponent around and round, as the strong winds cut them over and over.
[Big Bang Kamehameha]
This is Gogeta's combination of two attacks; The Kamehameha and the Big Bang Attack (Vegeta and Goku's signature attacks).
[Multi Form]
This is a technique where the user splits into four separate entities. Hence 12 Eyes, as Tien has 3 eyes. The four entities can fight on their own and can be attacked separately. But the downside is that the user's PL is divided into four, with each copy receiving 1/4 of the original's power level.
[edit] Latent power released
Gohan's ultimate power up when the full extent of his dormant power is released during the Buu saga. This power up was achieved by a special "ki unlocking" ceremony performed by Rou Dai Kaioshin. Although technically this ability is not exclusive to Gohan alone as the ceremony can be used to unlock anyone's sleeping powers, his was unusual in the amount of time it took to unlock. When the power is first acquired, he is told to go Super Saiyan, however when Gohan attempts to transform into a Super Saiyan, his hair, aura, and eyes stay his natural color. Only subtle changes in his appearance occur, including more pronounced facial features and more upright hair. This power up is referred to as "Elder Kai Unlock Ability" in the Budokai series of video games and "Ultimate Gohan" in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The more common term: "Mystic" was first coined by fans of the Dragon Ball Series.
