'Romany Star' is the pseudonym of Rebekah Markham (nee Krilovs); who runs a missing persons website, an ebay shop, and is a practising genealogist and poet. Rebekah was born on 7th June 1976 to Annette C Krilovs, a 19 year old machinist, and William V M Marriott, a 27 year old bare knuckle fighter of Romany gypsy origin, who was already married. Rebekah was brought up in Mansfield, UK. She ran away from an obsessively strict and religious upbringing in 1992, and settled in the South. After continous house moves and careers ranging from beauty parlour receptionist to editor of an underground magazine, Rebekah is now married with three children aged 10, 7, and 2. Rebekah now lives in Warwickshire, UK.
