[edit] confusing sentimental lyrics with the musical form
- During the 18th and 19th centuries Russian composers developed the French variety of the romance as a sentimental category of Russian art song. "Ochi Chyornie" (black eyes) is a well-known example. Isn't this text confusing sentimental lyrics with the musical form of the Romance? It certainly seems so, unless the musical definition of romance can be brought to bear on this. Anyone? --Wetman 15:08, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
