I can not understand why you write that there are 145 milion catholics in brasil, when national statistic biro (IBGE), says there are 137 milion (74%), you can see about it on main brasil page. for that reason i consider this to be Npov.
Other words... on page (brasil) there are official numbers, and on page RCiB there are another numbers... difference is about 21 milion ppl what is not so small number.
US Department of State also puts number of catholics at 74% [1]

I changed the article because the Demographics of Brazil page confirms 124 million (73.6%) - albeit without a citation. I think the 'largest number of Catholics' claim needs a citation too. Pavium 04:16, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
I removed the "of the total population, though only less then 20% of those would attend mass regularly and just an irrelevant minority actually follows Catholic dogma in any meaningful way." part because that is way too much f****** P.O.V. people. This is a m****f****** encyclopedia. Go b**** at mormon messageboards about how f****** much you hate Roman Catholics if you like but keep things N.P.O.V. here at Wikipedia!

My eyes are bleeding... both numbers (124 or 137) million people are correct, the first is the official data from 2000 census, while the second and a estimation based on the calculated 2007 Brazilian population. On Brazil's main page I used the official data from census but I don’t see a problem with the updated numbers, as long as the source or the methodology for obtaining the data is provided. But there is no support for the 145 million... unless you state that it is a probable data for 2015, or something like it. Alvaroludolf 13:27, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Please remove all mentions to "atheists and agnostics". There is no mention to them in the latest census, or any other of the previous ones. It just says "no religion". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.46.227.241 (talk) 03:12, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
