Roman Catholicism in Tanzania

The Roman Catholic Church in Tanzania is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome.

There are around 9 million catholics in the country - about a quarter of the total population. There are 30 dioceses, including 5 archdioceses:
