A replica of the tombstone of Caecilius Avitus, from Emerita Augusta, Medina in modern Spain, who died age 34. He was an optio in the Legio XX Valeria Victrix, a Roman legion stationed in Deva Victrix, a Roman fortress in the province of Britannia, where the tombstone was found.[1]
